Terms of use and guide prices

This page sets the rules for using the Warmlid website and explains what our online figures mean. They do not replace the contract for a roof: if you go ahead with a job, the written quote and the contract terms we give you with it are what apply. Warmlid is our trading name. Our company name, number and registered office are shown in the footer of every page. Questions go to hello@warmlid.co.uk.

Using this website

You are welcome to read, use and link to anything on this site, including the Comfort Calendar, for your own decisions. Please do not copy large parts of it to republish as your own, scrape it automatically, or try to disrupt how it runs. We may change, move or remove pages without notice.

The text, data, charts and photos here belong to Warmlid or are used with permission.

Guide prices are estimates

The figure the quote journey shows you, and the bands on our prices page, are estimates. They are worked out from the size and shape you choose and cannot allow for things only a visit reveals: the condition of the frame, access, extras you pick, or a roof that turns out larger than it looked. A guide price is not an offer, and you are not committed to anything by receiving one.

The price you would pay is the fixed figure in the written quote we send after the survey.

Comfort figures are a model

Temperatures, hours and running costs on this site come from our comfort model of a typical room under recorded weather. They are a fair guide to the difference a roof makes, set out on how we model it, but every conservatory is different. They describe a typical room, not a promise about yours.

If you go ahead with a job

Any roof we fit is governed by the written quote and the contract terms supplied with it. Those set out the price, what is included, the fitting date arrangements, payment and the guarantee (10 years, insurance backed). Where anything on this website differs from your written quote, the written quote wins.

Your rights as a consumer

Nothing in these terms takes away your statutory rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, our work must be carried out with reasonable care and skill, and the goods we supply must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose.

If you agree a contract with us in your own home, or at a distance (by email, phone or online), you can cancel it within 14 days, and you do not have to tell us why. The 14 days run from the day the contract is made. If you ask us to start work inside that period, you may have to pay for work already done if you then cancel. The contract terms explain how to cancel and include a form you can use.

Our liability

We do not exclude or limit liability where the law does not allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, as far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that were not a foreseeable result of something we did wrong, or for any business loss. The website and its tools are provided free, as they stand, to help you decide; we take care to keep them accurate but cannot promise they are free from errors.

Law and disputes

English law (the law of England and Wales) applies to these terms, and its courts can hear any dispute. If something goes wrong, please start with our complaints process, which is usually the quickest route to a fix.
