What we collect
When you use the quote journey we receive the answers you give: the type of roof you have now, its shape, its rough size, when you would like the work done, your postcode, your name, email address and phone number, and any note you choose to add. We also record which page you started from and any campaign tags in the link that brought you here, so we know which parts of the site people find useful.
If you leave a review through the leave a review page on this site, we receive the star rating, your name, your town, the job and what you wrote, together with whether you agreed to it being published.
If you email us, we keep the email and our reply.
Why we use it, and on what basis
- To give you a guide price, arrange a survey and send you a written quote. You asked us to, so we rely on taking steps at your request before a contract.
- To carry out and guarantee the work if you go ahead. This is needed to perform our contract with you.
- To keep accounts and records the law requires of a business.
- To understand which pages and campaigns lead to enquiries, in our legitimate interest in running the website well. This uses the page and campaign tags, not your contact details.
- To publish a review, only with the consent you gave on the form, which you can withdraw.
We do not sell your details and we do not pass them to other firms to sell you things.
Where it is stored and who processes it
Your enquiry is stored on our web server and passed to the customer relationship system we use to manage enquiries, surveys and jobs, GoHighLevel. GoHighLevel acts as our processor: it handles the information only on our instructions. It is based in the United States, so the transfer is covered by the standard contractual clauses approved for transfers from the UK, which require it to protect your information to UK standards.
If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 receives information about how you use the site. The cookie notice explains this and how to change your choice.
Reviews
Reviews sent through the review form are held for approval and are never published straight away. We publish a review only if you ticked the consent box, and we show the name and town you gave, the job and your words. Ask us at any time and we will take a published review down.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a job: 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted.
- Customers whose job goes ahead: 6 years, for our accounts and to support the guarantee on your roof.
- Reviews: for as long as they are published, or until you ask us to remove them.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict or stop using it, object to uses based on legitimate interest, and ask for a copy in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email hello@warmlid.co.uk and we will reply within one month.
Complaints about how we handle your data
Please tell us first, so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator for data protection, at ico.org.uk.

If we change how we use your information, we update this page. The version shown here is the one that applies.
